Briar Rose DeHaven graduated with highest honors from the University of Minnesota with degrees in Theatre Arts and Women's Studies. DeHaven's debut novel, "The Wild Journey of Gregit the Great", is the tale of a little wood frog named Gregit, who after facing a family loss, embarks on a journey around the world to become a great painter.
Complete at 60,000 words, the novel is targeted for a middle grade reader. DeHaven is currently seeking agent representation for, "The Wild Journey of Gregit the Great".
"Was he yet great? Yes, he was. But he wasn't great for being a masterful painter or having traveled the world or having met a load of new friends. Gregit was great because of all he gave. And as he looked at his friends in the painting before him, he saw greatness in them, too. For greatness is not a title to collect, and greatness is not an achievement you can earn. Greatness is what becomes you when you give."
