Bio:

Olga D’Agostino was born in West Ukraine in 1959. She grew up in a small village without TV and toys, learning about the world through books. Her hunger for reading made her imagination grow, and as a young adult, she wanted to be a journalist. The economic situation in her country shattered her dreams, and instead she finished business college and worked in the food industry. She left Ukraine in 1992 with two small daughters. Having no children’s books and limited English, she used to make up bedtime stories for her daughters. Overcoming her fears, she wrote a few children’s stories in English. "Carlo the Mouse on Vacation" was her first published book. A full series of books on "Carlo the Mouse" will follow shortly. She lives in historic Smithville, New Jersey, and loves animals, traveling, and gardening. She continues to write children’s stories, which she plans to publish in the near future. The Trees Have Hearts was recently published by Xlibris.
