Bio:

Julia Cooke is a plant ecologist and writer. She completed her PhD on the functional ecology of plant silicon in 2011 and published her first book - My Little World - a picture book for children in the same year. She is currently a post-doc at Macquarie University investigating how plant traits scale with whole plant growth.
