Bio:

I am an Atlanta, Ga based freelance writer, author, whimsical illustrator, creativity teacher and voice-over artist.

I am currently in the UCLA Extension online certificate program in Creative Non Fiction and recently took Catherine Ipcizade's class on writing children's book and found a new writing world I'm excited to explore. I am currently taking Beth Ann Bauman's YA Novel class through UCLA Extension too.

My first non fiction book, Mom Minus Dad: The Essential Resource Guide for Busy Adults with a Newly Widowed Parent (Blooming Women Press, 2008) was the winner of 5 book awards from Mom’s Choice Awards, Writer’s Digest Magazine, Foreward Magazine, Indie Book Awards and Georgia’s Writer Association.

I'm excited to learn more through SCBWI and am interested in connecting both locally and online with other SCBWI children's writers and illustrators.
