What makes me tick? The sea and all its moods, crazy ideas, stories that need telling, places off the beaten path, a lifetime of love shared, puppy breath, winter storms and summer breezes, complex people who take time to get to know, animals with big hearts and soft eyes, rosebuds and autumn maple leaves turned red-gold, a child’s kiss, an elder’s wisdom. These are the things that Life is made of. These are the things that inspire me to write.

I’ve been writing marketing ad copy, news releases, magazine articles and editing corporate newsletters for a good portion of my career. I continue to do so. Lately, though, I’ve delved into the blissful challenge of writing a YA novel. My first manuscript is complete and I'm polishing it to a fine finish, then I'm off to achieve the goal of getting it published.
