Bio:

Expression through the arts has permeated my life.

As a young girl I studied painting ceramics and dance. I took every art class that was offered.

After earning a BFA from the Hartford Art School with a major in painting & photography, I taught photography at Horace Mann School. During my eight years of tenure I earned a Master's in Art Education culminating in a one woman photography exhibition at Horace Mann School Gallery.

I studied fashion illustration and design at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

At Parsons School of Design I wrote and illustrated a story about my beautiful cat Marigold who experienced a memorable adventure one summer in Woodstock NY. The style of combining my photographs and pastels have created a rich tapestry for my first picture book, "Marigold’s Tale" to be published in 2013.

In 2006 I earned a Master of Arts in Psychoanalysis from the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis-NY. My abiding love for animals was the inspiration to write a Master’s Thesis on the attachment between humans and animals.

I am a Member of the Board of Trustees at Strang Cancer Prevention Institute since 2009.
