Bio:

Freelance writer and author Heather M. O'Connor scribbles articles for national and regional publications by day and fiction by night from her home office in Whitby.

In 2002, the busy mother of five stumbled upon writing. She quickly landed a contract to write three children’s books for Nelson Canada. That’s when the writing bug really sank its teeth into her. She opened Merlin Writes, a freelance writing business, and started calling herself a writer. And a teacher. And an author.

The avid reader of fantasy and historical fiction is currently completing an historical fantasy of her own, aimed at young adults. The characters introduced themselves to her during a neighbourhood walk. They’ve since become fast friends.
