Ekaterini Kottaras

Bio:

I am originally from Chicago, but now I write, teach and dream in the Los Angeles area. I am a writer who has been playing with the written word since the very first day I could hold a pencil. I am a pre-published YA novelist. (Many thanks to SCBWI LA 2012 conference for this hopeful term.) I have worked as a high school and community college teacher for over twelve years and am also a newly-minted yoga teacher. I hold an M.A. in English from the University of California, Irvine. My work has been published in Flashquake, Tiferet, The Edith Wharton Review, ReadWriteThink.org published by the National Council for Teachers of English, and the literary anthology entitled Mamas and Papas: On the Sublime and Heartbreaking Art of Parenting. I am also a regular contributor to YES! Magazine, where I write about lessening my environmental impact through the No Impact Experiment. In 2004, I recieved the Music Center’s Bravo Award in Los Angeles for my creativity and innovation in teaching literature and the arts to teenagers.
