Bio:

I'm a first time published writer with my book 'Pumkiniah the brave', currently in production and hopefully due for release around christmas if there are no hiccups.

I live in Mandurah Western Australia with my husband and three grown up children, two of whom still live at home and one who lives 5 minutes away with my two very lovely grandchildren.

I own a restaurant just across the bay from where I live called 'Chapters on the terrace' which is more of a hobby than a passion, I love food but 'do not' love the hospitality industry

I travel extensively and my bucket list is still full...so much to see...so little time haha

I love to read, especially history based in fiction. My favourite book of all time is 'Matilda lady of hay' by Barbara Erskine. So well written it sends a chill down your spine!

Writing is my absolute passion, writing fantasy for 8-12 year olds is what I enjoy most. As a christian I find there is a lack of fantasy for children in this age group where the lines of morality are not blurred.

I also have a selection of illustrated tales for a much younger audience but they have yet to leave my study drawer.

I have just finished my second novel 'Fishes n wishes n wings n things' and have started my third which is another Pumkiniah book 'Pumkiniah and the polar bear princess' I also have a fourth lined up
'Pumkiniah and the letter of hope'

I'm really enjoying writing more Pumkiniah I guess because the characters are so real to me, they are like family and therefore so easy to write about, as if they are real. I can only hope the first book is a success so that Pumkiniah can live on!

I'm 48 and about to buy my first piano because I believe you are never to old to learn something new.

I'm loving life and really enjoying the journey, it's exciting to think there are still bends in the road ahead. Even at my age I don't yet know what life has in store for me.

I believe in Eckhart Tolle's concept with all my heart, of living in 'the power of now', forget about the past, don't strive for the future, just watch each new day unfold and be happy with what it brings.

And other than being an authority on fairies haha... that's about it folks...this is me :-)
