Bio:

Diane Finlay has always enjoyed writing but she didn't get the bug in a serious way until she moved from the chilly winds of North East England to the balmy breezes of the tropical far north of Australia. She settled in Cairns.

In 2006 she self published The Duck with no Quack and became treasurer of Tropical Writers in 2007. She went on to become event manager for the inaugural Tropical Writers festival in 2008 and again in 2010. She was also involved in much of the foundation work for the 2012 festival. She is currently working on a series of novels for the 7-9 age group. She has had a large number of short stories and poems published in Tropical Writers anthologies and her children's short stories have been published in NSW School magazine.

Diane has now caught the blogging bug and blogs on her own website, and for ABC as well as regularly submitting to Tropical Writers blog.
