Bio:

Maria Grzybowski is a painter who specializes in acrylic and ink mediums. Her work focuses on nature themes- particularly the fragility of nature, its absence from the human experience, and its juxtaposition with mechanical systems. She draws inspiration from travel, semiotics, art history and children’s storybook illustration. She teaches elementary art for the Scranton School District, and lives in Dickson City PA with her husband and two beagles. She received her BS in Art Education from Penn State University, her MA in Painting from Marywood University, and studied abroad in Florence.
