Bio:

I was born and raised in southwestern, MI with my two brothers and sister. Growing up I enjoyed taking summer art classes at Kendall College of Art and Design. After high school, I went on to achieve my BFA from the University of Michigan with a concentration in Illustration and minor in Art History.

After graduation, I landed a once in a lifetime opportunity with The Wall Street Journal. The WSJ chose me to help grow its Chicago digital ad sales office. I started as a Sales Coordinator working on marketing materials, but within five years I was among the top digital sellers within the global company.

Having worked in the corporate sector for seven and a half years I understand better than most the importance of maintaining deadlines, working within budget, and communicating clearly.

A family decision in the summer of 2012 brought me to Nashville, TN where I currently reside, and most importantly, where I was inspired to launch my freelance business: KG Illustrations.
