Bio:

Patricia Wersinger grew up in Alsace, France and has studied literature and art in France and in New York. A painter for many years, she has developed an interest in children illustration since her two daughters were born. She used the time of their naps to illustrate pictures in which her daughters were represented in fun adventures. Patricia has integrated folk elements from her native Alsace into her children work. To create energy, animation with vivid color and movement and a lot of visual details is what draws her to illustrate children books. Illustration is a way to keep the spirit of the child vivid in her and stimulate the spirit of connectedness that is spontaneous in chlldren.
Patricia lives in New York City with her two daughters.
