Bio:
Jacqueline Adams is a full-time freelance writer who lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, daughter, and son. She is the author of 38 leveled readers for Heinemann, Macmillan/McGraw-Hill, and SRA/McGraw-Hill; three reference books for Lucent Books; and more than 140 articles and short stories for such magazines as Scholastic’s Science World and SuperScience, Highlights for Children, Cricket, Spider, Ladybug, Odyssey, and Read. Her work won the 2003 and 2005 Highlights for Children Fiction Contests and the 2004 Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators Magazine Merit Award for Nonfiction. In 2011, she was one of ten journalists selected for the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution's Ocean Science Journalism Fellowship.
