Bio:

Laura Huliska-Beith grew up in Omaha Nebraska, the oldest of 5 children.
Her siblings and husband were the inspiration behind her first picture book, “The Book of Bad Ideas” (although she takes full credit for Bad Idea #143).
After graduating from the Kansas City Art Institute, Laura went on to illustrate and design greeting cards for several years before finally pursuing her dream of illustrating children’s books. Her love of visual story-telling has led her to illustrate many books including “The Recess Queen” and “The Worst Best Friend” both by Alexis O’Neill, and most recently, “The Wild, Wild Inside” by Kate Feiffer.
She lives in Kansas City Missouri with her husband Jeff, and their 3 dogs.
