Bio:
A recovering textbook writer, Steve now writes history books that kids actually want to read. His most recent book is Lincoln's Grave Robbers, a true-crime thriller. His 2012 title, Bomb, was a finalist for the National Book Award, awarded a Newbery Honor, and named the winner of both the Sibert Medal and the YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction. The Notorious Benedict Arnold (2010), won the YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction and the Boston Globe-Hornbook Award for nonfiction. His title Two Miserable Presidents (about the Civil War), is the winner of the 2010 Beacon of Freedom Award. His book about the American Revolution, King George: What Was His Problem?, made New York Public Library's 100 Titles for Reading and Sharing in 2008. Steve also writes and draws the popular Rabbi Harvey series of graphic novels and online comics. Steve lives with his wife and two kids in Saratoga Springs, NY.
