Bio:

I’ve worked as a freelance journalist for the past 12 years, including business, family, health, environment and other topics, primarily for the Poughkeepsie Journal newspaper in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Recently, The New York Publishers Association named me as recipient of the organization’s Awards for Excellence in specialty supplement feature writing for my article on migratory mourning for the Poughkeepsie Journal’s August 2012 Living & Being magazine.

I am a former committee member for the SCBWI Eastern New York chapter and current co-founder of the Children’s Writers of the Hudson Valley, which was established in 2013.


I have a BFA from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, and am at work on my first a middle grade novel, Son of the Sheikh.
