Bio:
M.R. Street writes children’s stories because that is her favorite thing to read. She is a member of the SCBWI, the Florida Writers Association, and the Tallahassee Writers Association. Her love of dogs led her to write the true story, DOG OF JAPAN: HACHIKO, which appeared in Faces magazine in January 2006. Her debut novel, BLUE ROCK RESCUE, won the 2010 Royal Palm Literary Award for elementary/middle-grade fiction (published) from FWA. It also received a 5-star review from TeensReadToo.com. M.R. has two finalist entries in the 2011 RPLA contest: one in poetry and one in young adult. She lives in Tallahassee with her husband, two children, one dog, and a tortoise. Her horse lives nearby.
