Bio:

I've been working in children's publishing for almost 25 years, first as an editor, then writer and, for the past 19 years, as an illustrator. It's my favorite role yet. I love being surrounded by kids -- watching them, listening to them, and especially drawing them. I’m a proud member of the Picture Book Artists’ Association and the Co-coordinator for the Chicago-area SCBWI Illustrators. I live in a suburb of Chicago with my two amateur comedian sons and my amazing husband (who’s also pretty darn funny).
