Bio:

Kar-Ben books published ZISHE THE STRONGMAN in September 2010. The PJ Library has selected ZISHE for national distribution, and the Internet’s TABLET MAGAZINE has chosen ZISHE as one of the best Jewish picture books of the year.

My other books include: CURTAINS UP! – THEATRE GAMES & STORYTELLING, HINTS FOR TEACHING SUCCESS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL, and two young adult novels - WHO WANTS TO BE A HERO!(made into a movie for “Showtime” by Learning Corporation) and WHEN SIRENS SCREAM. “The Passover Guest” is included in Eric Kimmel’s award-winning WONDERS & MIRACLES, and “Jacob’s Pillow” is in SACRED STONES. My stories are also included in THE GHOST & I, and Peninnah Schram’s CHOSEN TALES: STORIES BY JEWISH STORYTELLERS.

I am a professional storyteller, and former director of the nationally-known Troupe of Teller from Roosevelt Middle School and of Eugene's Multi-Cultural Storytelling Festival. My articles have been published in THE HUMANIST, Z MAGAZINE, THE WORLD & I, LEARNING, MIDDLE GROUND, and others.
