Bio:

I am married with two grown sons. My work experience is in elementary education as a school counselor and as a reading teacher. I'm presently employed as a part-time reading tutor.

My passion is writing for children. I have created activities, poems, piggyback songs, and rebus stories for the Christian market, that are published in Celebrate and Adventures magazines. I have also been published in Pockets, Guide, and AppleSeeds magazines. Two teacher guides for AppleSeeds magazine and two years of guides for Cobblestone magazine have been published. I also wrote two guides for In2Reading with ePals. Six units of curriculum for Teaching the Story, a two year study of the Bible for children, were published. The SCBWI Bulletin recently purchased a professional article to be published at a later time. I am currently rewriting picture book manuscripts and I promise to eventually get my MG novel out of my head and onto paper. :)

I am an SCBWI member and attend workshops and conferences regularly. Thank goodness for SCBWI and writer friends.
