Bio:

I am the youngest of four and discovered at a young age that I get people to pay attention to me in my family if I wrote funny stories. I started writing seriously for children in about 1983 at the same time my first child was born. While teaching drama to middle-schoolers,I kept at the writing, and over the years have published books that reflect my years in boarding school, the growing-up years of my sons, my love of green spaces in cities, and my belief in the power of imagination to transform lives. I am writing full-time now and live with my husband in a house overlooking the Connecticut River.
