Bio:

Joan Broerman is writing her way to a decision: what she will be when she grows up. Author of family friendly travel book, WEEKEND GETAWAYS IN ALABAMA (Pelican), she's made recent sales to Highlights for Children and contributed to more than a dozen books on the craft and business of writing for kids. Because being with the kids is just as much fun as writing for them, she created the "We Love to Write" interactive wordshop series which she's presented in schools and libraries aross the southeast. SCBWI has been a huge part of her life. A founder of Southern Breeze, she's been honored as SCBWI Member of the Year and is now Regional Advisor Emerita of one of the warmest regions on the planet.
