Stephanie Roth Sisson

Bio:

Born in Germany, I was a shy kid who spent a lot of time drawing pictures and reading books. European childrens book illustrators and writers were and are a big influence, especially Astrid Lindgren, Ali Mitgutsch and Lisbeth Zwerger.

I illustrated my first book in 1994, It was called The Legend of Spinoza written by Robert TallTree. Since then I have illustrated a bunch of books including Two Christmas Mice by Corinne Demas, Block Party Today! by Marilyn Singer, The Third Grade series by Colleen O'Shaughnessy McKenna, The bitty Twins Series for American Girl and the Dear Whiskers Series by Ann Whitehead Nagda. I'm very excited about two books coming out in 2010: In May, The Princess Posey series is debuting, written by Stephanie Greene (it has sparkles!) as well as a book I illustrated using cardboard and paper cutouts called Thank You Miss Doover, written by Robin Pulver.
