Bio:

Shirley Menendez grew up in Staunton, Virginia and graduated from Mary Baldwin College. She earned a master's degree in library science from Drexel University. She fell in love with children's books when she conducted story hours as a librarian. She lives in North Potomac, Maryland with her husband Albert who is also a writer. They have written several books together.
