Bio:
Joan Kane Nichols is a freelance writer and editor and lifelong New Yorker who transplanted to Boston, then to Cape Cod and is currently living in Philadelphia.
For many years, she has written fiction and nonfiction for young people, including a biography of Mary Shelley, listed as one of the New York Public Library’s Books for the Teen Age. She has been a resident at Ragdale and, through the Outer Cape Artist-in-Residence Consortium, at the Margo Gelb Dune Shack in Provincetown. She was awarded a scholarship to attend the Norman Mailer Writer's Colony and received a work-in-progress grant from the Money for Women/Barbara Deming Memorial Fund.
