Meg Medina

Bio:

Meg Medina is a Cuban American writer who works in picture books, middle grade fiction and young adult fiction. Her work examines the Latino experience, particularly as it applies to bi-cultural children. Her first novel, MILAGROS: Girl From Away (Christy Ottaviano Books: An Imprint of Henry Holt Books for Young Readers) was published in 2008. Her first picture book, TIA ISA WANTS A CAR, will be published by Candlewick Press in June 2011, with Spanish and paperback editions to follow in 2012.) Her young adult novel (SONIA) is forthcoming from Candlewick Press in 2012.

Meg lives in Richmond, Virginia, with her family.
