Bio:
I was a classroom teacher, language arts specialist, college instructor for 29 years. I consulted for the American International Schools in India, Nepal, Egypt, Italy, Greece & Jordan. Then I took early retirement and followed my dream. Now I have 15 books published and 3 under contract. I love going back to schools and doing school visits. I also enjoy speaking at conferences and educator nights at bookstores. Recently Colonial Voices Hear them Speak, published by Dutton in 2008, illustrated by Larry Day, won the 2009 Carol Otis Hurst book prize for the book which best portrays the New England experience. It was great fun to go to Westfield, Ma to receive the cash prize and participate in their Colonial Day.
