Gail Jarrow

Bio:

Gail Jarrow writes nonfiction books (history, biography, science) as well as middle-grade and young-adult novels. Her nonfiction books have received several awards and distinctions, including Kirkus Reviews Editor's Choice for Best YA Books, Junior Library Guild selection, the American Bookseller's Pick of the Lists, and ALA Quick Picks for Reluctant Readers. Gail's articles and stories have appeared in various children's magazines, including Highlights for Children, Cricket, Spider, Muse, Cobblestone, and Faces. She has a BA from Duke University and an MA from Dartmouth College. Gail has taught in grades 4 to 8 and currently lives in Ithaca, New York.
