Eric Freeberg has illustrated many books for children. His work has been recognized most recently with the Holbein Prize at the Japan Illustrators Association's International Illustration Competition, and he was also a winner of the 2010 London Book Fair's Illustration Competition.
His classic style is influenced by artists of the Golden Age of American Illustration including N.C. Wyeth and Howard Pyle.
He studied painting at the New York Academy of Art.
