Bio:

Amy Dee Stephens has written two history books; Oklahoma City Zoo;1902-1959 and Oklahoma City Zoo Now and Then (awarded Best Publication by the Oklahoma Museum Association). She freelances for magazines and online publications, and is a staff writer for Distinctly Oklahoma Magazine--Distinctly Oklahoma Magazine—which has allowed her to interview various celebrities, including Carrie Underwood, Kristin Chenoweth, and Reba McEntire. In 2009, Amy was awarded Outstanding Publication by the National Association of Interpretation for an article she about Martin Luther King Jr. for Legacy Magazine.
