Bio:

Sharon is a Minneapolis based illustrator and avid photographer. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin STOUT. Sharon is also a member of CBIG, Children's Book illustrators Guild. Until 2007 she sold her paintings at juried art fairs and local galleries. Now she has entered the wonderful world of children's illustration. In 2009 Sharon illustrated the MNSCBWI Hope Card Project. And won the MNSCBWI mentorship award with Carrie Hartman. Sharon takes special delight in creating whimsical animal portraits. Like Beth Solheim's Belly LaGossa, a dog of questionable heritage who sees ghosts. She also won the award of excellence at Art Fete 2010.

And most importantly her first two books have now been published. "Mary Rode to Bethlehem on Me" with author Ivan Jensen and "Maya Monkey" for Teacher Created Materials.
