Bio:

My name is Jean-Jacques Greif. I am French. The SCWI web site wants Jean to be my first name and Jacques my middle name, but my first name is Jean-Jacques. Which means I am a boy (or man), actually.
I was born in 1944 in Paris, France.
From 1970 to 1975, I was an advertising copywriter.
I have been a journalist at Marie Claire magazine in Paris since 1975.
My first novel for young adults was published in 1996. Twenty or so have been published in France, one in the States: The Fighter, a translation (by myself) of my best-known French novel.
I have translated some of my other novels, too, and have written books directly in English, but I haven't found a publisher for them yet.
I am married, I have three children, I live in Paris.
