Bio:

I have spent most of my working life in publishing, beginning at Atheneum shortly after I moved to New York from Wisconsin after I graduated from college. My last full-time 9-5 job was as the contracts director at Scholastic. For the past 20 years I have worked with children's book writers and illustrators helping them get better contracts as well as explaining all the confusing terms. Along with Sue Alexander, I created the sample contract that is available to SCBWI members and I have presented numerous workshops at SCBWI conferences across the country.
