Susan Raab

Bio:

Susan Raab is president of Raab Associates Inc. the first agency to specialize in marketing and publicity for children's books and products, now in its twenty-sixth year. The agency’s specialty is in promoting books, games, apps, audio and events for individuals and organizations in the family and arts markets. Clients have included Bantam Doubleday Dell, Briarpatch, the International Board on Books for Young People, The Julie Andrews Collection, Kane Miller, Kids Can Press, Listening Library, National Geographic, Penguin, Pleasant Company, Scholastic, Wizards of the Coast and many bestselling authors and illustrators.

Susan is author of An Author's Guide to Children's Book Promotion. She is Marketing Advisor to the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and is a featured columnist for The SCBWI Bulletin. She reports on the publishing field as a journalist and broadcast correspondent.

Susan has served as advisor to the Bank Street Center for Children’s Literature, the Center for the Study of Children's Literature and Culture at the University of Florida, the Julie Andrews Collection, and the Northeast Children’s Literature Center at the University of Connecticut. She is an alumna of the University of Connecticut where she sponsors a young illustrator’s prize in conjunction with SCBWI and the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center.
