Bio:

Peg has won state young reader awards, where the kids vote for their favorite book, more than fifty times. She has also received the Golden Kite Award from SCBWI, the Henry Bergh Award from the ASPCA, and the PEN Center West Award in Children's Literature.
Peg is a long-time volunteer for animal welfare causes. She lives on a small wildlife sanctuary with her dog and two cats, all rescued animals, and does foster care for needy cats.
