Bio:

I began as a journalist, or at least that's what I got my degree in. I’m a former newspaper copyeditor and reporter, more recently a magazine editor and feature writer, always a teacher (an opinionated one at that), frequently a speaker, currently an educational writer, book editor, author of three books of history and biography ... and with the publication of my WATERSPELL trilogy (upper YA/crossover fantasy), I'm officially a novelist. I've taught creative writing at the college level. I'm also a photographer. I used to sell photos to magazines, but these days I'm content to exhibit my work occasionally at the State Fair of Texas. My book titles are: WATERSPELL Books 1, 2, and 3 (Seven Rivers), TRAIL FEVER (William Morrow), THE LH7 RANCH (University of North Texas Press), and A CENTURY IN THE WORKS (Texas A&M University Press).
