Bio:

Carmen T. Bernier-Grand teaches writing at Wordstock, Writers in the Schools which is a program of Oregon Literary Arts, and at the Whidbey Island MFA Workshop.

Three of her biographies have been awarded Pura Belpré Honors and, in 2008, the Oregon Library Association's Children's Division gahe the Evelyn Sibley Lampman Award for her significant contributions to teh children of Oregon in the field of Literature.

She was born and grew up in Puerto Rico but now lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, Jeremy Grand.
