Bio:
Faye Gibbons was born into a large mountain farm family and grew up in mill towns and mountain areas throughout northern Georgia. On long summer evenings, she heard episodes from family history, hunting yarns, and ghost tales from relatives who knew how to spin a good yarn. She also did a lot of reading and began to dream of telling her own stories. She is the author of twelve childrens' books and an adult history. SOME GLAD MORNING earned her the Georgia Author of the Year Award, and NIGHT IN THE BARN was chosen as a Notable Book by Smithsonian Magazine. Her first young adult novel is due to be published in the spring of 2013. Gibbons is the mother of two adult sons.
