Bio:

Anne-Marie Perks is a published illustrator of children's books. At a very young age Anne-Marie fell in love with the stories and pictures shown in books of all kinds. Her art practice over the years has led her to 3D sculptural forms, ceramics, painting, graphic design, animation and illustration, and of course, lots of drawing. After the birth of her fourth child, she decided to return to the idea of writing and illustrating books. After illustrating three books by Betsy Franco, published by Stokes Publishing Company 1999, 2000, she went on to study at North Wales School of Art in Wrexham, North Wales. She graduated with a BA Honours Degree in Illustration and an MA in Children's Illustration.

While at North Wales School of Art, Anne-Marie was invited to submit artwork for the anthology, Lines in the Sand, published by Francis Lincoln UK, 2003, along with other illustrators and authors. She was very pleased to have one full page in this beautiful book edited by Mary Hoffman.

Anne-Marie divides her time between teaching animation, illustration and design, and working on her own book ideas and illustrations.
