Bio:

Although I am now in my seventies, I am still a collector of children and cats. Currently we have in our house five cats and one eighteen-year-old foster granddaughter. Our seven sons are all grown, as is our only daughter, so we are blessed with aughters-in-law, our daughter's talented and intelligent partner, numerous grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
My first book wasn't published until I was almost sixty, but since then I have had ten picture books published. I have another picture book under contract with Lee & Low, and my first middle-grade novel, Kyle's Island, was released by Charlesbridge in February of 2010.
