Bio:

I've published fourteen novels for children and young adults. My novel HARD LOVE won a Michael L. Printz Honor Award and a Lambda Literary Award in 2000. Other honors I've received have been state awards from Massachusetts and Michigan, and ALA Best Books of the Year listings. My books have been translated into German, Italian, Danish, Dutch, Turkish, Croatian and Korean.
