Donny Bailey Seagraves is a native of Athens, Georgia and a long time resident of nearby Winterville. Her debut children's middle grade novel, GONE FROM THESE WOODS, was published in hardback August 25, 2009 by Random House/Delacorte Press and on February 8, 2011 in a Yearling paperback edition. A freelance writer for many years, Donny also has published articles and stories for adults in many regional and national magazines and newspapers including the Chicago Tribune, The Writer Magazine, and Athens Magazine. She also has owned and operated Junebug Books, an online book and collectibles business for many years. She is a popular speaker and workshop leader at writers' festivals and conferences and is available for school visits and other other speaking engagements.
