Bio:
Michelle's writing has appeared in THE LOS ANGELES TIMES, THE WALL ST. JOURNAL, THE BOSTON GLOBE and other newspapers and magazines. Her books for children span a variety of genres including fiction, non-fiction and creative non-fiction. DREAMER FROM THE VILLAGE, her biography of Marc Chagall, was named one of the New York Public Library's 2005 Best Titles for Reading and Sharing with Children, a National Council for Social Studies Notable Trade Book, and an Association of Jewish Librarian’s Notable Children's Book of Jewish Content. Michelle charts new territory with her new title TYRANNOSAURUS MATH, a silly arithmetic book.
She also teaches a class in Writing the Picture Book at UCLA Extension and is a founding member of CAN!, the Children’s Authors Network.
