Bio:

Virginia Castleman has been in the publishing industry for 20+ years as a publicist, editor, instructor, and publisher. A long time member of SCBWI, Castleman is currently CEO of www.publishermatch.com, a website devoted to helping writers match up with publishers. Castleman is the author of several books, including Mommi Watta--Spirit of the River, a Liberian Legend, Erosion (non-fiction), The Essential Children's Writer's Tool Kit, and creator of puppetbooks, cloth books that turn into workable puppets. Castleman has authored numerous articles for The Children's Writer's Guide and the Children's Writer Newsletter, and has edited thousands of manuscripts. She has taught at The Institute of Children's Literature, at Truckee Meadows Community College, and at Morrison University, where she was a professor of English and Oral Communication. Castleman currently resides in Reno, NV.
