Bio:

Uma Krishnaswami is the author of many books for young readers, including picture books, middle grade novels, and easy readers. She is also on the faculty of the Vermont College of Fine Arts low-residency MFA program in Writing for Children and Young Adults. Her latest middle grade novel is The Grand Plan to Fix Everything, published by Atheneum in May 2011 to starred reviews from Kirkus and Publishers Weekly. Her picture book, Out of the Way! Out of the Way! originally published in India by Tulika Books, is to be released in the US and Canada in 2012 by Groundwood Books. A middle grade manuscript, working title Book Uncle and Me, won the 2011 Scholastic Asian Book Award.
