I was editor of CHILDREN'S WRITER'S & ILLUSTRATOR'S MARKET from 1994 through 2010. I recently joined SCBWI's board of advisors and I blog for SCBWI at http://scbwi.blogspot.com. I had a short and unspectacular run as an SCBWI Regional Advisor in the mid-90s. (That's a hard job.)

I love quiet picture books, mid-grades that make me laugh, YA that makes me cry, and I can't put down a good memoir. I DVR lots of TV shows featuring angsty teens with spectacular wardrobes, spend a lot of time playing with Legos and Transformers since I live with a five-year-old boy, and probably have too many pairs of boots.
