Bio:

I began writing in 1978, first as a newspaper columnist on parenting issues, then in corporate communications, all the while wishing I had time to write for children. Finally, I decided I'd never have enough time and I got started anyway. I've had two books published by a regional publisher, and have several manuscripts either under consideration or in progess. I've also reviewed submissions and edited for a regional publisher and I do a limited amount of freelance writing. I graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in sociology and earned a master's degree in social work at the University of Hawaii.
