Bridget Strevens-Marzo

Bio:

Bridget Strevens-Marzo studied art history, translated books and copied paintings in the Louvre before she wrote and illustrated her first three picture books published by Little Brown UK in the 1990s. Of British and Catalan extraction, now living in France, Bridget's illustrations have appeared internationally, from the prize-winning best seller, Margaret Wild's Kiss, Kiss! (PW star review) to the graphic The Big Book for Little Hands (PW star review) which was shortlisted for the British Book Design Award. Her most recent US book for Harper, Philemon Sturges's How do You Make a Baby Smile? (PW star review) was a Bank Street College of Education Best Book of the Year.
Bridget enjoys sharing her professional experience at SCBWI workshops and events across Europe and the US, and her love of illustrated books with her students at Parsons Paris School of Design. As SCBWI international liaison she has spoken at and facilitated many international conferences including past biennial SCBWI Bologna conferences and the upcoming Bologna Symposium and Showcase.
