Sheri has always loved books. As a child she enjoyed reading at home and at school. Her Parents frequently took her to the public library and always ordered books from the Scholastic book order pamplets in school, a memory that Sheri truly treasures. A diary keeper from sixth grade through her first year in college, Sheri always enjoyed writing and a bit later in life started writing for children in her free time. Sheri's reading interests vary and include, children's picture books and magazines, middle grade mysterys, catholic reading, christian novels, mystery, and historical young adult novels. She enjoys working on her picture book manuscripts, which tend toward humor, and short stories for children's magazines.
Sheri's first short story was published in Babybug Magazine in 1997. It is called A Summer Walk. Her second publication is an illustration of her onry, beloved feline, Sammy, in SCBWI's September/October 2001 Bulletin.
Now, being a stay-at-home Mom, Sheri is able to enjoy picking out books with her Kids from their own Scholastic order pamplets from school and sharing her stories with them. She loves reading to her children, being a part of activities at their schools, and helping out in sunday school.
